The Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association is visiting Baku at the official invitation of the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Bar Association. Within the framework of the visit, Irakli Kandashvili, together with the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Bar Association, Anar Bagirov, met with the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, Kamran Aliyev.

The Georgian Bar Association held its first Legal Pro Bono Forum. Within the framework of the initiative, member lawyers of the Association provided citizens with free legal consultations on various legal matters. The forum gave interested individuals the opportunity to receive legal assistance on issues important to them, all in one space, throughout the day. The event was held at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel.

On March 28–29, from 11:00 to 16:00, the first Legal Pro Bono Forum will be held at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel. Within the framework of the project, lawyers will provide free legal consultations to citizens on various legal matters. Any citizen will be able to receive a consultation.

The parties emphasized the special importance of the legal profession and its role in ensuring high-quality and effective constitutional adjudication. Irakli Kandashvili also briefed the Chairman of the Constitutional Court on the ongoing activities within the Association and its future plans.

The Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association, Irakli Kandashvili, met with the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Davit Gabaidze. The meeting was also attended by the Head of the Association’s Regional Coordination Council, Giorgi Chochua.

The Chairperson of the Bar Association met with the Senior Justice Advisor of the U.S. Embassy’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), Michael Vasko, and Political Officer Kerry McIntosh. Irakli Kandashvili hosted the program representatives at the Association’s office.
