Hosted by the Georgian Bar Association, the South Caucasus International Lawyers’ Football Tournament (2nd Southern Caucasus Lawyers International Football Tournament) has kicked off in Tbilisi, bringing together lawyers’ football teams from Georgia, Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan.

Two matches were held on the opening day of the tournament.

In the first match, the lawyers’ teams of Azerbaijan and Türkiye faced each other. The match ended with a 4:3 victory for Türkiye.

In the second match, Georgia faced Uzbekistan. The Georgian team secured an 8:3 victory over its opponent.

The group-stage matches will continue tomorrow, while the final is scheduled for 7 November, when the tournament winner will be determined.

The South Caucasus International Lawyers’ Football Tournament is being held in Georgia for the first time and is dedicated to Lawyers’ Day, which is celebrated annually in Georgia on 8 November.
