Fund Activity - Functions

The Social Aid Fund of the Bar is a non-profit (non-commercial) legal entity which operates in accordance with the Constitution of Georgia, legislation and the Charter of January 22, 2018 approved by the Executive Board of the Georgian Bar Association. The Governing Body of the Fund is a Board consisting of 5 members and elected by the founder organization (Bar Association) for a term of 3 years.The purpose of the fund is to promote the social protection of lawyers and improve their social status.The Fund's budget is approved annually by the Executive Board of the Association, and in addition to the general donations provided for by law, at least 5% of the Association's membership fee is allocated to the Fund.
