The Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association, Davit Asatiani, participated in the 6th International Lawyers’ Forum organized by the German Federal Bar Association (BRAK), representing both the Georgian Bar Association and the European Association of Lawyers (AEA-EAL), where he currently serves as president. The main theme of the conference was “The Legal Profession on the Frontline.” Representatives of bar associations from 45 countries around the world attended the event.

The forum was officially opened with welcome remarks by David Asatiani, Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association; Paata Salia, Minister of Justice of Georgia; Gareth Ward, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Georgia; Richard Atkinson, President of the Law Society of England and Wales; and solicitor-advocate Ruslan Ugrekhelidze.

The meeting was also attended by former AEA-EAEL President Maria Ślązak and representatives of the NYSBA International Section, Jay G. Safer and Giorgi Tchekhanie.
