During the meeting, the parties reviewed the projects implemented and results achieved within the framework of the longstanding cooperation between the Georgian Bar Association and the Council of Europe Office. Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the areas of lawyers’ professional development, human rights protection, the rule of law, and strengthening the professional rights of lawyers.

In connection with the ongoing projects and opportunities for further strengthening cooperation, Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association Irakli Kandashvili held a working meeting with representatives of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP).

The Georgian Bar Association organized the GBA Padel Championship, which brought together nearly 30 lawyers competing in 12 teams. The tournament was held at the Lisi Lemans padel courts. A presentation of the preparatory course for the Bar Qualification Examination was held at the Georgian Bar Association. The Chairperson of the Georgian Bar Association, Irakli Kandashvili, introduced the details of the course to the participants and presented the experts who will lead the three-month educational program. The event was attended by representatives of the academic legal community, field experts, and representatives of university law faculties.

During the visit, Ambassador Türker toured the administrative premises of the Georgian Bar Association and was introduced to the organization's main areas of activity, professional education programs, and ongoing projects.

Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association, Irakli Kandashvili, participated, at the invitation of the Council of Europe, in the Annual Network Conference of the Council of Europe’s Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) Programme, held in Strasbourg on 2–3 July. The conference focused on digital justice and international cooperation and brought together representatives of the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE).
