President of the Georgian Bar Association, David Asatiani, participated in the 6th Georgian–Armenian Legal Forum hosted by the Ministry of Justice. At the forum, David Asatiani delivered a presentation in which he discussed the role of artificial intelligence in the legal field and shared the Bar Association’s experience in this area. This includes several important projects, such as the examination portal, the lawyers’ portal, the Ethics Commission’s electronic system, the penitentiary visitation booking portal, and electronic services for the adaptation course.
During the session, presentations were also delivered by the Director of the Legal Aid Service, Davit Simonia, and the Chairman of the Armenian Bar Association, Simon Babayan.
Davit Asatiani emphasized the importance of ensuring that the legal profession does not remain merely a consumer of technology. Instead, lawyers should be engaged as co-authors of the transformation, critical partners, and ethical balancers.
“The vision of the Georgian Bar Association is clear — we are creating a professional ecosystem where ethics and technology develop in parallel; where lawyers are prepared not only to interpret legislation but also to develop its machine-readable versions; where professional competence includes not only legal but also digital literacy,” said David Asatiani.
