An informational meeting was held between representatives of the Georgian Bar Association and the Office of the Public Defender of Consumer Interests on the topic: “Know Your Rights in the Communications Sector.”
The Public Defender of Consumer Interests, Gvantsa Chkheidze, was hosted by the President of the Georgian Bar Association, David Asatiani.
Gvantsa Chkheidze spoke about the specifics and functions of the Office of the Public Defender of Consumer Interests, and also provided a detailed explanation of the powers granted to the office by law, companies’ obligations, and the rules, timelines, and procedures for reviewing complaints and applications.
During the meeting, the participants emphasized the importance of informing every member of society about consumer rights, so that telecommunication services can be monitored more effectively, ultimately improving the quality of service.
