On April 28, the President of the European Association of Lawyers (AEA-EAEL), David Asatiani, and the President of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), Domenick Napoletano, signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The meeting was also attended by former AEA-EAEL President Maria Ślązak and representatives of the NYSBA International Section, Jay G. Safer and Giorgi Tchekhanie.
During his speech at the virtual event, the Chairman of the European Association of Lawyers noted that the agreement is not merely a formal partnership, but a symbol of a relationship between the two organizations based on shared values — the rule of law, professional development, and international cooperation.
“Our collaboration opens up new opportunities for knowledge-sharing, joint initiatives, and the strengthening of professional skills. It is a chance to create dialogue around the emerging challenges in the legal field and to advance the legal profession,” said David Asatiani.
This memorandum represents a strategic step towards deepening international cooperation in the legal field, promoting professional development, and strengthening the European and American legal professions.
