Analytical studies and recommendations were presented at the Georgian Bar Association. 

The event was opened by the Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association, Davit Asatiani, and the Rule of Law Project Manager of the USAID-Caucasus Democracy and Governance Office, Rusudan Tabatadze.

The reports, which were prepared with the support of the USAID Rule of Law Program, cover the following topics:

  • Research and Recommendations Regarding Case Load Management in Courts.
  • Instructions for the Assessment of Judicial Candidates of the District (City) Courts and the Courts of Appeals of Georgia by the Bar Association.
  • Guidance Recommendations for Lawyers on the Challenges in Practice Regarding the Disciplinary Proceedings of Judges.

The documents were prepared by the Bar Association's Committee on Justice and Judicial Reforms and the Committee on Human Rights and International Law.

Representatives of the USAID Rule of Law Program, members of the Bar Association committees and non-governmental organizations attended the event.

The presentation was also attended by David Rubino, head of the Rule of Law Mission in Europe and Eurasia of the American Bar Association (ABA).
