The Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association, Irakli Kandashvili, paid a working visit to Bucharest at the invitation of the Romanian Bar Association. During the visit, Irakli Kandashvili delivered a public presentation to Romanian colleagues on the institutional structure of the Georgian Bar Association, where he discussed the Association’s governance framework, professional development of its members, and mechanisms for ensuring ethical standards. The Chairman also emphasized modern approaches to institutional strengthening and the importance of international cooperation.
At the conclusion of the visit, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Georgian and Romanian Bar Associations, under which the parties will collaborate in the areas of sharing professional standards and advancing professional education.
