The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia, Mr. Ali Kaan Orbay, paid a courtesy visit to the Georgian Bar Association.

Within the framework of the meeting, the Turkish Ambassador congratulated lawyer Irakli Kandashvili on his election as Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association, based on the high level of trust expressed by Georgian lawyers, and wished him success in his professional activities.

The Ambassador emphasized the significant role of the legal profession in strengthening the rule of law and ensuring an independent and effective justice system. He also noted that the newly elected Chairman’s professional experience, along with his years of personal cooperation with the Embassy, creates a solid foundation for the further development of cooperation between the Georgian Bar Association and Turkey in the legal profession.

The Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association thanked the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey for the visit and the attention shown, highlighted the importance of deepening cooperation between legal professionals of the two countries, and expressed the Association’s readiness to contribute to this process.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual willingness to strengthen cooperation and agreed on the future implementation of professional events and initiatives between the professional organizations of the two countries.
