The Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association hosted the International Secretary of the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions, Liv Tørres, and the Senior Advisor for Russia, Eastern and Central Europe, Yanina Unnli. The meeting was also attended by a member of the Association’s Executive Board and President of the Georgian Trade Unions Confederation, Raisa Liparteliani.

During the introductory meeting, Irakli Kandashvili presented the guests with an overview of the organizational structure of the Georgian Bar Association, its main areas of activity, and the specifics of its work.

The parties discussed opportunities for cooperation between professional associations. Particular attention was given to the potential benefits such cooperation could bring to lawyers, including the sharing of international experience, support for professional development, and the strengthening of professional rights and social guarantees.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their mutual readiness to cooperate.
