Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association, Irakli Kandashvili, met with the Minister of Justice, Paata Salia. The meeting was held at the Ministry of Justice.

Within the framework of the meeting, the Minister congratulated Irakli Kandashvili on his election as Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association and noted the high level of trust expressed toward him by Georgian lawyers.

During the meeting, the parties emphasized the special importance of the independence of the legal profession and its professional association in ensuring quality and effective justice.

Irakli Kandashvili informed the Minister about the key issues and challenges related to the daily and full professional activities of lawyers. He also expressed readiness for constructive cooperation and underlined the necessity of the Association’s active involvement in the review of all legislative initiatives that may affect the professional activities of lawyers in the future.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain active cooperation going forward.
