Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association, Irakli Kandashvili, met with Amy Diaz, Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy, and Joseph Cafferty, Acting Director of the U.S. Embassy’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).

Irakli Kandashvili hosted the U.S. representatives at the Georgian Bar Association’s office.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed the longstanding and active cooperation between the Georgian Bar Association and the U.S. Embassy. They discussed important projects implemented by the Association with the support of INL, aimed at advancing the legal profession and strengthening the justice system. Particular attention was paid to strengthening the jury trial system in Georgia and raising public awareness in this area.

The parties emphasized the importance of their ongoing cooperation and discussed prospects for future collaboration.
