The Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association participated in an international symposium at the invitation of the Istanbul Bar Association on the topic: “The Right to a Fair Trial and the Right of Defense.” Irakli Kandashvili was invited to the event as a keynote speaker.

The Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association addressed the international audience on the topic: “The Role of Bar Associations in the Realization of the Right to a Fair Trial.”

The symposium brought together up to 200 lawyers from around 40 countries. The event was officially opened by the Chairman of the Istanbul Bar Association, the President of the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE), the Chairman of the Brussels Bar Association, and the Chairman of the Paris Bar Association.

The international symposium was held within the framework of the Lawyer’s Day week in Turkey, in cooperation with the bar associations of Georgia, Paris, Berlin, and Brussels.
