Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association Meets EPLO Regional Director

21 January 2026

The Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association, Irakli Kandashvili, met with the Regional Director of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), Ioseb Nanobashvili.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the cooperation framework between the Georgian Bar Association and EPLO, including the Association’s membership in the Board of Directors of the European Public Law Organization. This status provides members of the Georgian Bar Association with exclusive access to international research and academic programs, as well as opportunities to engage with European judges, professors, and legal scholars involved in international legal proceedings.

At the initiative of the Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association, the renewed agreement significantly expanded these opportunities and, for the first time, made them accessible to participants of the Professional Adaptation Program, thereby creating additional value for young legal professionals.

Under the agreement, members of the Georgian Bar Association and participants of the Professional Adaptation Program will be able to benefit from exclusive conditions when enrolling in various academic programs at the European Law and Governance School (ELGS) of EPLO (Rome, Italian Republic – www.elgs.eu).

In addition, the agreement between the parties includes qualification courses and joint professional events, within the framework of which leading European professors specializing in European Union law will be involved.

Under the leadership of its Chairman, the Georgian Bar Association continues to expand and enhance high-quality educational opportunities aligned with international standards for lawyers.
